Copper red
As legend has it a Chinese Potter had accidentally made the most beautiful copper red glaze.
During the firing his kiln boy had vanished during the firing which was a mystery. Upon opening the kiln, the red glaze appeared
The emperor fell in love with and demanded that more be made to fill his palaces.
After many frustrating years of failure, the Potter finally threw himself into the white-hot kiln.
Opponent opening kiln the elusive red glaze finally appeared thus solving the mystery of the disappearing Kiln boy
These days we don't need to take such drastic action to achieve the red guys but it remains elusive and a favourite of collectors and Potters.
We stock two different filters:
Doulton Super Sterasyl Filter Recommended for removal of chlorine alumina and bacteria. Generally used on tank or town water without fluoride.
SCP Fluoride Plus™ / UltraCeram is recommended for the removal of everything the Doulton filter plus removes fluoride generally used on town water supply.
BOTH FILTERS HAVE THE CAPACITY TO FILTER ONE LITRE PER HOUR.
